Dear 2009,

Despite messing me up, I love you because of the musical discoveries you have ushered in and the personal realizations you have made me, well, realize.

I know now who and what's important and what must be done. I guess I do know too that though bridges can't be entirely burned down, there are people best left rotting in the past. They who have caused me much lacrymal fluid, sad playlists, and pack after pack of ciggies and bottles of beer.

And so I leave you with hypothetical tears in my eyes.

Not sure if I will miss you like 2008.

i hope this changes in the next year.

i am ready for whatever.

i was meaning to post about a long list of material things i want to receive this season but i now know what i really, really want: ample time.

no coveted LEGO collectible or macbook pro or designer sneakers can bring as much as joy as ample time can.

and maybe, just maybe, rest.

the obligatory who-i-am-and-why post.

this girl used to deposit stuff in the same platform, but had to leave it because life became too busy. fell for the convenience of microblogging but realized that 140 characters don't cut it.

so here's the fruition of that realization.

if you may ask, the title is a name of a playlist created when i was yes, ambivalent about something... i don't actually remember what it is. and if you may ask again, said playlist includes The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Grammatics, The Album Leaf, Ra Ra Riot, The Temper Trap, and Metric.

creating THE soundtrack to my life - that's what keeps me up these days, among other things. oh and people, too.

will this be a music blog? not really. i'll just throw in stuff - rants, raves, inspiration, photos, cryptic messages to people i like and don't like.

the goal is to stay random. this is after all, hmmbivalent.
